Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Bulldogs of Dean College this evening in non-conference action from Elliot Field.

How It Happened

New England College grabbed the lead in the 15th minute of play when junior Logan Cassin (Penacook, N.H.) collected a feed from graduate student Tucker Stenger (Enfield, Conn.) and deposited a shot inside the far post for his second tally on the season for the 1-0 edge.

The Pilgrims doubled its margin (2-0) at the 42:23 mark when freshman Joaquin Sanchez-Konrfeld (Santiagon, Chile) notched his first collegiate tally.

Following the intermission, the hosts upped its advantage at the 48:42 mark with Cassin finding the back of the net for his second tally of the contest for the 3-0 lead.

The Pilgrims pushed the lead to 4-0 in the 82nd minute of action as senior Robinson Saintil (West Palm Beach, Fla.) fired a shot from 30 yards out, into the top left corner for his first marker of the 2022 campaign. The hosts capped the scoring late in the contest when freshman Noel Hullselan (Dover, N.H.) notched his first career score of an assist from classmate Wyatt Filbert (Windham, Maine.
