How It Happened

The Bears tallied a pair of goals in the first frame. Sophomore Brett Ghelfi (Halifax, Mass.) notched his first two goals of the season for Bridgewater State. Senior Joseph Madden Jr. (New Bedford, Mass.) threaded a pass to Ghelfi to make it 1-0. Ghelfi doubled the advantage with just under two minutes remaining with a shot that caught the inside post.

The Falcons nearly broke up the shutout bid late in the second half as freshman forward Juan Sambrano (Burlington, Mass.) curled one off the post in the 86th minute.
