Tracy, CA native collects first weekly honor of the 2024-25 campaign

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensive back Elijah Zaire McKnight (Tracy, CA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Zaire McKnight earned his first weekly accolade of the season after returning a punt 78 yards for a touchdown to give the Falcons a 14-13 lead at the time, while adding one kick return for 22 yards in a 26-21 setback to the Panthers of Plymouth State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State football team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Westfield State to take on the Owls in MASCAC action, starting at 12:00PM.
