North Kingstown, RI natives collects first weekly accolade on the year

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State Ice Hockey junior goaltender Max Macchioni (North Kingstown, RI) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Goalie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The third-year Falcons picked up his first weekly honor of the 2024-25 campaign after stopping 32 shots with a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 97.0 percent in the Falcons 3-1 victory over the Pilgrims of New England College on Friday.

The Fitchburg State Ice Hockey team (2-0-0, 0-0-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday, November 12th as they travel to Assumption College to take on the Greyhounds in non-conference action, starting at 7:20PM.
