Falcon Trio Earns All-Conference Accolades
Shimiyimana, Bourassa & Kwamo named to MASCAC All-Conference Team
Fitchburg, MA – Senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, MA), sophomore Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) and freshman Tyler Kwamo (Auburn, MA) were recently named to the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Outdoor Track & Field All-Conference Team as announced by the conference office this afternoon.
Eric took top honors in the triple jump with a DIII New England
qualifying mark of 13.09 meters, while adding an eight place
effort in the long jump with a jump of 6.19 meters, while
Bourassa finished first overall in the javelin with an All-New
England qualifying toss of 63.07 meters as well qualifying for
the All-NE's in the discus with a second place throw of 45.75
meter. In addition, Liam finished fourth in the shot put with a
mark of 13.01 meters and second overall in the hammer throw
with a DIII New England qualifying toss of 50.15 meters at the
2024 MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships this past
week.
Kwamo rounded out the Falcons
All-Conference honorees, placing first overall in the high jump
with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.92 meters, while
adding a third place mark of 12.38 meters in the triple jump
for the Green and Gold at the 2024 MASCAC Outdoor Track & Field
Championships.
