Cambridge, MA. – The Fitchburg State University Men's Outdoor Track & Field Team competed at the 2024 MIT Final Qualifier today at the Sherie & Don Morrison Track.

How It Happened

Sophomore Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) led the way for the Falcons, finishing second overall in the javelin with a throw of 59.94 meters, while adding an eighth place toss of 44.35 meters in the discus. Liam currently ranks second nationally in the javelin.

Senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, MA) was also solid for the Green and Gold, placing second overall in the triple jump with a mark of 13.85 meters.
