Guzman nets first collegiate tally for Green and Gold
Fitchburg, MA – The Fitchburg State University Men's Soccer Team defeated the Blazers of Elms College, 2-1 this afternoon from Elliot Field in non-conference action in the Falcons 2024 season opener.

How It Happened
Elms opened the scoring in the 14th minute of action to make the score 1-0. Fitchburg State knotted the score at 1-1 midway through the first frame as junior Zachariah Foster (Brockton, MA) gathered a feed from freshman William Badger (Attleboro, MA) and fired a shot into the left corner for his tally on the season.
Following the intermission, the Falcons grabbed the lead at the 54:49 mark when newcomer Ajani Guzman (Leominster, MA) deposited a shot inside the near post for his first collegiate marker to make the score 2-1.
