Spartans Shutout Men's Soccer
FITCHBURG, MA: Fitchburg State men's soccer fell to Castleton this afternoon in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first half started with a Spartan scoring an early goal on the first corner attempt just 1:24 into the contest. Liam Cramer found the back of the net by the back post on a header off the cross from Toby Ritzkowski.
- Castleton would add another one in the 30th minute on an outside the foot pass from Adolphe Alfani to Jacques Alfani for a point-blank shot.
- Xander Berthiaume (W, 2-0) got the win in net for the Spartans after making seven saves in the shutout. Malcolm Edwards (Salem, MA) (L, 1-1) was tagged with the loss after making six saves and two goals allowed.
