How It Happened

Fitchburg State opened the scoring in the 11th minute of action as freshman Justin Job (Worcester, MA) settled a feed from junior Brandon Gonzalez (Marlborough, MA) and lofted a shot into the upper left corner for his first collegiate tally for the 1-0 edge.

The Falcons doubled its advantage at the 37:55 mark when sophomore Anthony Oliveira-Dalicandro (Waltham, MA) blasted a shot into the lower left post for his first marker on the season to make the score 2-0 going into the break.

Following the intermission, Dean nearly dented the score board in the 59th minute with sophomore Nate Beturne (Ellington, CT) put a shot target, but Falcon keeper Alexander Carvalho (North Providence, RI) turned the shot aside, resulting in the 2-0 final.
