Men's Soccer Draws Even With Pilgrims
HENNIKER, NH: Fitchburg State men's soccer drew even with New England College (NEC) this evening in non-conference action.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Fitchburg (2-2-1), NEC (0-2-1)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Pilgrims broke onto the scoreboard in the second half during the 78th minute. Santiago Sanchez finished on a free kick from outside the eighteen.
- Fitchburg wouldn't go quietly, and with just under five minutes left to go, Ajani Guzman (Leominster, MA) would net the equalizer. Guzman gathered a deflected pass from Elijah Kalombo (Worcester, MA) just outside the eighteen, where he turned and fired a shot that beat the Pilgrims keeper by squeezing the ball just inside the right post.
- Neither team could find the back of the net again, ending the game in a 1-1 tie.
- Lukas Tate (T, 0-0-1) would finish with eight saves on the night with just the one goal against. Alexander Carvalho (N. Providence, RI) (T, 1-0-1) only saw three shots on goal from NEC. He made two saves on the night with the one goal allowed.
