Men's Soccer Shutout by Lynx

LEXINGTON, MA: Fitchburg State men's soccer fell this afternoon to the Lynx of Lesley University in non-conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 9/14/24

- Score: Lesley 3, Fitchburg 0

- Records: Lesley (1-4), Fitchburg (2-3-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Lynx struck for the first time in the 23^rd minute of the first half on an unassisted goal by Osmyn Atwood for his first of the season. They would tack on another before the half in the 28^th minute on a through ball from Wassim Chaib to Anthony DeNicola.

- Lesley would add onto their lead in the 70^th minute, making it 3-0 and the final. Chaib would get his own goal this time on a left-footed shot that found its way in off the far side post.

- Josiah Williams got the win for the Lynx (W, 1-2) after making all eight saves. Luke Speers (Collegeville, PA) got tagged with the loss (L, 0-1) after making four saves and two goals allowed.
