Men's Soccer Draws Even With Vikings
Oliveira- Dalicadro & Kalombo tally one goal each for Green and Gold
Salem, MA– The Fitchburg State University Men's Soccer Team played to a 2-2 draw with the Vikings of Salem State this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from Alumni Field.

How It Happened
Fitchburg State opened the scoring in the 14th minute of action when sophomore Anthony Oliveira-Dalicandro (Waltham, MA) settled a feed from senior Elijah Kalombo (Worcester, MA) and deposited a shot into the left side of the net for his third marker on the season for the 1-0 edge.
Following the intermission, the Falcons doubled their advantage at the 45:45 mark with Kalombo burying a shot into the back of the net for his third score of the 2024 campaign to make the score 2-0. Salem State cut the deficit to 2-1 ten minutes later as freshman Matheus Pelissari (Lowell, MA) netted his second tally on the year.
The Vikings knotted the score in the 62nd minute of action when junior Gabriel DaSilva (Woburn, MA) received a pass from Pelissari and put a shot inside the far post for his third tally of the season, resulting in the 2-2 draw.
