Samantha Jones collects first weekly accolade on the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Samantha Jones (Uxbridge, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Jones earned her first weekly honor of the 2024 season after collecting three points on one goal and one assist in the Falcons 4-2 victory over the Rams of Framingham State in Fitchburg State's MASCAC opener on Friday evening.

The Fitchburg State field hockey team (1-5, 1-0 MASCAC) returns to action on Tuesday as they host Lyons of Wheaton College in non-conference action, starting at 7:00PM.
