HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Falcons got on the board in the final seconds of the first quarter off of a penalty corner. Samantha Jones (Uxbridge, MA) found her way just in front of the Lancers cage, where she would get her own rebounded shot off of a defensive save and finish in the bottom left corner.
- The Falcons would come out of the break and find the back of the net on excellent ball movement that would eventually find Olivia Narkevicius (Phillipston, MA), who would stumble and fall before getting up to her knees and flipping the ball over the sliding Lancer keeper.
- Fitchburg tacked on another on a penalty stroke after the Worcester keeper would take out Autumn Tibbetts (Lunenburg, MA) on a breakaway. Samantha Yates (Woodstock, VT) was tasked with taking the stroke. She would finish the stroke high after lifting it over the keeper's right shoulder. That goal would put the Falcons up 3-0 going into the fourth quarter.
- Jenna Morse (Leominster, MA) gets the win (3-5) after making five saves and completing the shutout. Madison Ferrara suffers the loss (1-7) after surrendering the three goals and making eight saves.
