Field Hockey Trio Sweep MASCAC Weekly Honors
Narkevicius, Morse & Corcoran receive conference accolades
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Olivia Narkevicius (Phillipston, MA), senior Jenna Morse (Leominster, MA) and freshman Isabella Corcoran (Braintree, MA) were named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively as announced the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
Narkevicius notched her first weekly honor on the season after totaling six points on three scored in a 2-0 week for the Falcons. Olivia potted a hat trick in a 5-0 triumph over the Bears of Bridgewater State on Saturday.
Morse picked up her third weekly accolade of the 2024 campaign after registering 13 saves with a 1.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 92.9 percent in a 4-1 victory against the Bison of Nichols College on Wednesday.
Corcoran collected her first career weekly award after stopping all four shots she faced with 0.00 goals against average and save percentage of 1.000 in a 5-0 victory against the Bears of Bridgewater State on Saturday to notch her first collegiate victory in the cage.
