Falcons Compete At USATF New England Championships
Camara qualifies for All-NE's in the 60M Hurdles
Cambridge, MA – The Fitchburg State University women's indoor track & field placed competed at the 2024 USATF New England Championships today at the Gordon Track, hosted by Harvard University.

How It Happened
Senior Makany Camara (Lowell, MA) continued her strong senior campaign to lead the way for the Green and Gold, placing fourth overall in the 60 meter hurdles with an All-New England qualifying time of 9.22 seconds, while taking top honors in the high jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 1.60 meters.
Sophomore Skye Goba (Norton, MA) finished 18th overall in the mile with a solid time of 5:11.76, while in the 400 meter, sophomore Shamya Boulware McKnight (Hartford, CT) (34th) and classmate Aria DiCato (Fitchburg, MA) (36th) posted times of 1:09.51 and 1:10.10.
Sophomore Julia Arena (Shrewsbury, MA) turned in a time of 3:00.52 in the 800 meter after finishing 54th overall, while in the 60 meter hurdles, senior Erin Donelan (Fitchburg, MA) placed 19th with a time of 11.64 seconds.
In the field, junior Ephemian Bailey (Maple Grove, MN) (10.52M), senior Olivia Kephart (Rutland, MA) (8.57M) and sophomore Cassandra Israelson (Saugus, MA) (7.97M) placed third, 13th and 19th respectively in the shot put, while in the weight throw, freshman Taylor Crout (Boise, ID) (4th), Bailey (10th), Kephart (11th) and Israelson (14th) registered tosses of 11.21M, 10.12M, 9.88M and 9.26M.
Donelan rounded out the top Falcon efforts on the day, placing tenth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 8.33 meters.
