Fitchburg, Mass. – The Fitchburg State women's soccer team and the Lynx of Lesley University played to a 1-1 draw in non-conference action this evening from Elliot Field.

The Basics

Score: Fitchburg State 1, Lesley 1

Records: Fitchburg State (7-6-3, 4-1-1 MASCAC) | Lesley 9-7-1, 4-0 NECC)

How It Happened

Lesley took the lead at the 11:18 mark when sophomore Chase Liversey (St. Petersburg, Fla.) found classmate Abby Kalou (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) in front of the net off a corner kick and deposited a shot inside the near post for her team-leading 11th goal on the year for the 1-0 edge.

The Lynx nearly doubled it's lead in the 32nd minutes of action with sophomore Alexis Valdes (Seymour, Conn.) fired a shot on frame, but Falcon keeper Skyla Vaudo (Burlington, Mass.) made a leaping save to deny the chance.

Fitchburg State's best scoring opportunity of the first half occurred at the 38:41 mark when junior Elizabeth Read (Fitchburg, Mass.) sprung free on a beak away attempt, but Lesley goaltender Audrey Calhoun (Chapel Hill, N.C.) made the save to preserve the 1-0 edge going into the half.

Following the break, the Green and gold knotted the score at 1-1 midway through the stanza when sophomore Kendra Peretzman (Randolph, Mass.) collected a feed from freshman Alisha Praileau (Ashby, Mass.) and slipped a shot into the right side of the net for her second tally on the season.
