How It Happened

Fitchburg State opened the scoring just 3:11 into the contest as freshman Adrianna Westcott (Sayreville, N.J.) gathered a feed from sophomore Kendra Peretzman (Randolph, Mass.) and deposited a shot inside the far post for her sixth goal on the season for the 1-0 edge.

The Falcons doubled their lead ten minutes later when Westcott buried a shot just under the cross bar for her second marker of the contest to make the score 2-0.

Following the break, Fitchburg State extended the lead to 3-0 with Pereztman firing a shot into the right side of the net for her third score on the year. The Falcons secured the victory in the 75th minute of action as junior Elizabeth Read (Fitchburg, Mass.) connected on her team-leading eighth goal of the 2022 campaign, resulting in the 4-0 final.
