Sardella Selected MASCAC Rookie Of The Year

Billerica, Mass. native named to MASCAC Women's Volleyball All-Conference Second Team 

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman outside hitter Stephanie Sardella (Billerica, Mass.) recently notched a pair of Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Volleyball post season honors as the 2022 MASCAC Women's Volleyball All-Conference Teams were announced this afternoon.

Sardella was named the 2022 MASCAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year after posting a team-leading 171 kills as well as seven assists, 35 service aces, 239 digs, five solo blocks and seven blocking assists over 20 matches played for the Green and Gold. She is the first Falcon ever to claim MASCAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Year honors.

For her efforts, Stephanie was also selected to the 2022 MASCAC All-Conference Second Team.

The Fitchburg State women's volleyball team recently concluded their 2022 season with an overall record of 5-15 and a 2-5 clip within conference play, en-route to earning the sixth seed in the 2022 MASCAC Women's Volleyball Post-Season Tournament.
