Women’s Outdoor Track Competes At DIII NE Championships
Hepler places 16th in javelin with toss of 31.30 meters
New Haven, CT. – The Fitchburg State University Women's Outdoor Track & Field team competed at the 2025 DIII New England Championships this weekend, hosted by the Coast Guard Academy.

How It Happened
Freshman Sophia Hepler (Orono, MA) led the way for the Green and Gold, finishing 16th in the javelin with a toss of 31.30 meters, while junior Trishannah Scott (Leominster, MA) was also solid for the Falcons, placing 16th overall in the triple jump with a mark of 11.06 meters as well as finishing 18th in the long jump with a mark of 5.08 meters
The 4x100 meter relay team of freshman Maribelis Alcantara (Salem, MA), classmate Arieyana Robinson (Worcester, MA), junior Alanis Velez (Lowell, MA) and Scott turned in a 28th place time of 59.99 seconds, while junior Skye Goba (Norton, MA) posted an 18th place effort of 40:17.86 (PR) in the 10000 meter.
The 4x400 meter relay team of junior Aria DiCato (Fitchburg, MA), Velez, Robinson and Scott posted a 19th place time of 4:30.09.
