Women’s Soccer Falls to Salem State
SALEM, MA: The Fitchburg State women's soccer team lost to the Vikings of Salem State in MASCAC action this afternoon, 2-1.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Salem (6-3-2, 3-2 MASCAC), Fitchburg (1-9, 0-4 MASCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Salem scored the only goal in the first half at 33:56. Chelsea Martinez scored the only goal after teammate Jenna Mitza set her up for the shot.
- The second half saw the Vikings maintain a 1-0 lead until the 71st minute. Samantha Agno added another goal for Salem to go up 2-0. That goal ultimately became the game-winner after Adrianna Westcott (Sayreville, NJ) scored for the Falcons in the 88th minute, getting the final score.
- Ava Guyer got the win (6-3-2) for the Vikings after making eight saves on nine shots. Madison Dawkins (Haverhill, MA) took the loss (1-3) after making eight saves on ten shots.
