Men's Cross Country Finishes Third Overall At Pop Crowell Invite

Wenham, MA. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross-country team placed third overall with a total of 84 points at the 2025 Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College today.

How It Happened
Freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) paced the Falcons, placing second overall with a time of 25:39.81, over the 8K layout while junior Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) followed in third place with a time of 26:46.59.
Senior Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, crossing the line in 14th place with a time of 27:60.54, while junior Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) entered the chute in 15th place with a time of 28:00.47.
Rounding out the top finishers for the Green and Gold were junior Lemuel Del Valle (Lawrence, MA) (62nd), senior Brady Madigan (Ayer, MA) (71st) and senior Alvaro Castillo-Clottier Jr (Palmer, MA) (79th) with times of 31:19.16, 31:19.65 and 32:11.10 respectively.
