UTICA, NY: The Fitchburg State ice hockey team fell to the Utica University Pioneers by a score of 5-1 in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament this afternoon. It was the Falcons’ third trip to the NCAA Tournament under Coach Dean Fuller, who completes his 41st season leading the program.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensemen Jack Johansen (Milford, NH) was selected to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Ice Hockey All-Conference Second Team as announced the conference Wednesday afternoon.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State sophomore Hunter Dunn (Douglas, MA), junior Max Macchioni (North Kingstown, RI) and freshman Marcus Macchioni (North Kingstown, RI) were tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week, Goaltender of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State ice hockey team defeated the MCLA Trailblazers in the MASCAC Championship. The Falcons, who were seeded #4, clinched their entry into the NCAA Tournament with the win over #8 MCLA, winning the MASCAC Championship for the first time since 2018 and the third MASCAC Championship (2011, 2018, 2025).
