Zaire McKnight Tabbed MASCAC Defensive Player Of The Week
Tracy, CA native collects first weekly honor of the 2025-26 campaign
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensive back Elijah Zaire McKnight (Tracy, CA) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Zaire McKnight earned his first weekly accolade of the season after finishing with three solo tackles, two interceptions that totaled 32 yards and one pass breakup in the Falcons 49-14 season opening victory over the Bulldogs of Dean College on Friday evening.
The Fitchburg State football team returns to action on Saturday as they travel to UMass Dartmouth to take on the Corsairs in MASCAC action, starting at 4:00PM.
