Randolph, VT. – The Fitchburg State University men's cross-country team second overall with a total of 71 points at the 2025 Silloway Maple Syrup Challenge, hosted by Vermont Technical College today.

How It Happened
Freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) paced the Falcons, placing second overall with a time of 27:28.18, over the 8K layout while junior Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) followed in fourth place with a time of 28:08.54
Senior Michael Burns (Worcester, MA) was next for the Green and Gold, crossing the line in 18th place with a time of 29:06.95, while junior Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) entered the chute in 31st place with a time of 29:54.13
Rounding out the top finishers for the Green and Gold were junior Lemuel Del Valle (Lawrence, MA) (60th), junior Alvaro Castillo-Clottier Jr (Palmer, MA) (71st) and senior David Rodriguez Jr (Hampden, MA) (79th) with times of 33:26.68, 35:13.19 and 37:29.55 respectively.
