Women's Lacrosse Lanced by Worcester in Season Finale
WORCESTER, MA: The Fitchburg State women's lacrosse team lost to the Lancers of Worcester State this afternoon in MASCAC action, 20-7.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Worcester (11-6, 5-1 MASACAC), Fitchburg (2-14, 1-5 MASCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Worcester would jump out to a 7-1 lead through the first quarter. Abbie Wing would lead the way for Worcester in the quarter by scoring three of the team's seven goals. The Falcons' lone goal in the first was from Hannah Azzari (Haverhill, MA).
- The second quarter was more competitive, with the Lancers still outscoring Fitchburg 5-3, making it a 12-4 game. Hannah Erickson scored two for Worcester, getting her up to four goals in the game, along with Wing, who added another in the second, putting her at four. Jessica St. George (Dracut, MA) scored her first goal of the game in the second quarter on a free position. She would follow up on her own goal in a second. St. George would then go on to assist Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, MA) on the Falcons' fourth and final goal of the half.
- Worcester opened the second half with a 6-2 third quarter score, making it 18-6. Wing added a fifth goal to her stat line, with her teammate Molly Witkowski completing a hat trick. The Falcons' two goals were scored by Breanna White (Peabody, MA) and Noelle Kennedy (Walpole, MA).
- The fourth quarter started with Autumn Tibbetts (Lunenburg, MA) scoring her first goal of the contest and ending the scoring for Fitchburg. Worcester would net two more goals to conclude the game. Abigail Vincent scored first and completed a hat trick, with Kylee Fennelly getting the 20th and final goal of the game.

- Olivia LaValle got the win in the net for the Lancers, after making six saves and allowing seven goals.
- Elizabeth Smith (Plymouth, MA) suffered the loss (0-6) after making eight saves and allowing 20 goals.
