Men’s Soccer Falls to Lancers in Low Scoring Tilt
WORCESTER, MA: The Fitchburg State men's soccer team lost to the Lancers of Worcester State in their MASCAC opener, with a final score of 1-0 this afternoon.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Worcester (1-3, 1-0 MASCAC), Fitchburg (0-2-1, 0-1 MASCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lancers scored the only goal of the game early in the first half at 15:21. Brendan Lower beat the Falcons' keeper for the game-winning goal after SJ Aquino set him up for the shot. The Falcons, however, outshot the Lancers by a large margin but couldn't find the net.
- Tobias Schneider earned the win (1-3), his first of the young season. He faced eight shots on goal and saved them all.
- Malcolm Edwards (Salem, MA) suffered the loss (0-2-1) after nearly being perfect in net. He allowed one goal while facing five shots on goal. Edwards made four saves in the game.
