Henniker, NH. – The Fitchburg State University Softball team dropped a pair of non-conference contests to the Pilgrims of New England College this afternoon from the Old Concord Road Field as the Falcons were edged 8-6 in the opener before falling 8-0 in the nightcap.

SALEM, MA: In an intense MASCAC men's basketball game, the Fitchburg State Falcons were narrowly defeated by Salem State with a final score of 92-89.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Football Defensive Player of the Year as well as named to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team, while classmate Elijah Zaire McKnight (Tracy, CA) earned MASCAC All-Conference Second Team honors as announced by the conference office on Thursday afternoon.

UTICA, NY: The Fitchburg State ice hockey team fell to the Utica University Pioneers by a score of 5-1 in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament this afternoon. It was the Falcons’ third trip to the NCAA Tournament under Coach Dean Fuller, who completes his 41st season leading the program.

New London, CT. – The Fitchburg State University Men’s Outdoor Track & Field team returned to action this weekend as they competed at the 2025 Silfen Invitational, hosted by Connecticut College at the Silfen Field & Track.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Week, while freshman Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) took home MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete and Rookie of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Fitchburg, MA. – The Fitchburg State University Men’s Outdoor Track & Field team hosted its annual Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational today at Elliot Field as the Falcons honored six seniors prior to the start of the meet with the seniors being Aidan Cattelan, Cameron Davis, Casey LaCombe, Joshua Leaffer, Taban Manyok and Cameron Monette for their contributions to the program.

NORTHAMPTON, MA - The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) has announced the 2024-25 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic participants. The game will be played at Smith College on Sunday, March 30, at 1:00. Spectators are welcome to attend, and the game will be live-streamed on the NEWMAC Sports Network.

Westfield, MA. – The Fitchburg State University women’s cross country team placed 14th overall with a total of 440 points at the 2024 James Earley Memorial Invitational, hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park this morning.

Keene, NH. – The Fitchburg State University women’s cross country team placed 22nd overall with a total of 651 points at the 2024 Keene State Invitational this afternoon at the Owls Athletic Complex.
