WORCESTER, MA: The Fitchburg State men’s soccer team lost to the Lancers of Worcester State in their MASCAC opener, with a final score of 1-0 this afternoon.  

Randolph, VT. – The Fitchburg State University men’s cross-country team second overall with a total of 71 points at the 2025 Silloway Maple Syrup Challenge, hosted by Vermont Technical College today.

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State baseball team took down the Rams of Framingham State on Senior Day by a score of 12-6. The Falcons celebrated 15 seniors: Jason Bickford, Joseph DiCrosta, Cole DuHaime, Liam Goldstein, Joseph Hartnett, Nolan Hills, Jacob Hurrell, Matthew Kelly, Maxwell Kelly, Cameron May, Eric Mccallum, Michael Nazzaro, Jake Santulli, and Matthew Smith.

FRAMINGHAM, MA: The Fitchburg State baseball team dropped a pair of games to the Rams of Framingham State this afternoon in MASCAC action.  

FRANKLIN, MA: The Fitchburg State baseball team fell to the Bulldogs of Dean College this afternoon in non-conference action, 5-4.

SALEM, MA: In an intense MASCAC men's basketball game, the Fitchburg State Falcons were narrowly defeated by Salem State with a final score of 92-89.

UTICA, NY: The Fitchburg State ice hockey team fell to the Utica University Pioneers by a score of 5-1 in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament this afternoon. It was the Falcons’ third trip to the NCAA Tournament under Coach Dean Fuller, who completes his 41st season leading the program.

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior defensemen Jack Johansen (Milford, NH) was selected to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Ice Hockey All-Conference Second Team as announced the conference Wednesday afternoon.

Chicopee, MA– The Fitchburg State Men’s Soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to the Blazers of Elms College this afternoon in non-conference action from Leary Field as the Falcons opened their 2025 campaign.

Boston, MA. – The Fitchburg State University men’s indoor track & field team returned to action this weekend as select members competed at the 2025 All-New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center as well as the 2025 Tufts Last Chance Qualifier at the Gantcher Center.

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State Men’s Outdoor Track & Field junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) and senior Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) were recently selected to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region team as announced by the USTFCCCA earlier this month.

Geneva, OH. – Fitchburg State junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) placed ninth overall in the javelin with a toss of 62.59 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships this evening.

This week, the MASCAC chatted with three of Division III's top four javelin throwers, all from the MASCAC…Corey Stalters- Bridgewater State, Liam Bourassa- Fitchburg State, Liam Higgins- Mass. Maritime.

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State Athletics Department and Executive Director of Athletics, Matt Burke, announced that Jonathan Mandeldove will be the University's 15th Head Women's Basketball Coach. As part of this position, Mandeldove will also assist the Director of Recreation, Brad Cohrs, in managing intramural sports programming, among other responsibilities.

Hartford, CT: The Fitchburg State Women’s Volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference contest to the University of Hartford Hawks and the Lyons of Mount Holyoke College this afternoon in a tri-match at the Chase Arena on the campus of the University of Hartford.

New London, NH: The Fitchburg State Women’s Volleyball team suffered a 3-0, straight set setback to the Chargers of Colby-Sawyer this evening in non-conference action from the Hogan Sports Center.

North Providence, RI: The Fitchburg State Women’s Volleyball team dropped a 3-0, straight set decision to the Anchorwomen of Rhode Island College this afternoon in non-conference action from the Murray Center.
