Guevara Mateo Earns Pair Of MASCAC Weekly Honors
Cambridge, Mass. native collects second straight conference weekly accolades
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country freshman Paulino Guevara Mateo (Cambridge, MA) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday for second consecutive week.
Guevara Mateo received his second straight weekly honors of the season after taking top honors with a time of 25:39.81 at the 2025 Pop Crowell Invitational, hosted by Gordon College on Saturday afternoon.
The Fitchburg State Men's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2025 UMass Dartmouth Invitational, starting at 11:20AM.
