Simsbury, Conn. nets first weekly accolade of the season

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Anthony Ceolin (Simsbury, Conn.) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.

The fourth-year forward collected his first weekly honor on the year after posting eight points on four goals and four assists over two games for the Green and Gold. Ceolin tallied four goals and one helper in a 9-3 win over Westfield State on Thursday before adding three assists in a 5-3 setback to Worcester State on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State ice hockey team (12-10-3, 9-6-3 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as they hosts the Vikings of Salem State University in quarterfinal round action of the 2022-23 MASCAC Ice Hockey Post-Season tournament, starting at 6:30PM.
