Fitchburg State University held its 130th commencement exercises on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The keynote address was given by Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kim Driscoll, and the ceremony also included remarks by Charles Stevenson, recipient of the Robert V. and Jeanne S. Antonucci Award. President Donna Hodge presided. Video by FATV.

Buffy Cautela ’22 a Fitchburg State University graduate with a Communication Media degree, concentrating in Film and Video, with a minor in Deaf Studies. She shares how Fitchburg State helped her build leadership skills through campus involvement and how she is now pursuing her Master’s degree in Fine Arts at Columbia University.
