Ice Hockey Earns Two All-Conference Accolades
Fortin and Miller collect MASCAC All-Conference Honors
FITCHBURG, Mass. – The Fitchburg State Ice Hockey Team had two members named to the 2022-23 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference Teams as senior forward Hunter Fortin (Westerville, Ohio) collected MASCAC All-Conference First Team honors, while classmate Joshua Miller (Saint Augustine, Fla.) was named to the MASCAC All-Conference Second Team.
Fortin earns his second consecutive All-Conference honor after being selected to the MASCAC All-Conference First Team. On the year, the senior captain appeared in 22 games for the Green and Gold. Hunter led the team in points with 26 and assists (14), while ranking second in goals with 12 to go along with three power-play markers.
Miller notched his first All-Conference selection with his MASCAC All-Conference Second Team nod after posting 11 points on two goals and nine helpers with one power-play tally and one game winning goal from the blue line, while also serving as a team captain.
The Fitchburg State ice hockey team concluded the 2022-23 campaign with an overall record of 12-11-3 and a 9-6-3 clip within conference play, en-route to capturing the third seed in the 2022-23 MASCAC Post-Season Ice Hockey Tournament.
