Manyok Named Men’s Indoor Track Athlete Of The Week

Lynn, Mass. native collects fourth weekly honor of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

The third-year Falcons notches his fourth weekly accolade on the year after placing first overall in the mile with a time of 4:30.76, while taking top honors in the 3,000 meter with a time of 9:08.23. In addition, Taban led the Falcons DMR team to a first place time of 12:33.84 on Saturday at the Westfield Invitational.

The Fitchburg State indoor track team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2023 Lynn Ruddy Invitational, hosted by Bowdoin College.
