Falcons Collect Pair Of D3 Baseball.Com All-Region Honors
Eramo & Hurrell selected to D3 Baseball All-Region Teams
FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) and sophomore Jacob Hurrell (Haverhill, Mass.) were recently named to the 2023 D3 Baseball All-Region teams as announced by D3 Baseball.com on Monday morning.
Vinny led all Falcon honorees after being named to the D3 Baseball.com All-Region (Region 2) First Team, while Hurrell was selected to the D3 Baseball.com All-Region (Region 2) Third Team.
Eramo picks up his first All-Region accolade, rewriting the Falcons record book after concluding the 2023 campaign with a .395 batting average with 58 hits, 11 doubles, two triples, 12 home runs, 37 runs scored, 55 RBI, 18 walks and 13 steals, while setting the Falcons single season records for RBI, home runs and total bases as well as setting the school's program record career home runs (22) and total bases in a career with 280. For his efforts, Vinny was also selected to the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) All-Conference First Team.
Hurrell also notched his first All-Region selection after hitting .362 with 47 hits, nine doubles, four triples, six home runs, 31 runs scored, 23 RBI, 15 walks and a team-best 18 stolen bases. In addition, Jacob was named to the MASCAC All-Conference Second Team.
The Fitchburg State University Baseball team recently concluded its 2023 campaign with an overall record of 19-21 and a 9-12 clip in conference play.
