Field Hockey Rallies Past Rams
Raymond nets pair of goals for Green and Gold
Framingham, MA. – The Fitchburg State field hockey team earned a 4-2 victory over the Rams of Framingham State this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action from the Maple Street Field.

How It Happened
Framingham State opened the scoring at the 7:37 mark as freshman Finley Hogan (Auburn, NY) received a feed from senior Kaylee Beck (Tyngsboro, MA) and deposited a shot into the lower right corner for her third score of the season for the 1-0 edge.
The Rams doubled the advantage roughly one minute later with junior Natalia Roehr (Acton, MA) potting her second tally of the 2024 campaign off an assist from senior Emma Bailey (North Attleboro, MA) to make the score 2-0.
The Falcons trimmed the deficit to 2-1 in the 13th minute of action when freshman Samantha Jones (Uxbridge, MA) slipped a shot inside the near post for her seventh marker on the year.
Following the intermission, the Falcons knotted the score at 2-2 at the 33:11 mark with junior Alexis Raymond (Tewksbury, MA) settling a feed from classmate Sophia Yates (Woodstock, VT) and firing a shot into the back of the cage for her third tally on the year.
The Green and Gold grabbed the lead three minutes later as junior Olivia Narkevicius (Phillipston, MA) blasted a shot inside the near post for her seventh marker on the 2024 season with an assist from Yates for the 3-2 margin.
Fitchburg State secured the victory in the 53rd minute of action when Raymond received a pass from junior Samantha Yates (Woodstock, VT) and tucked a shot into the lower left corner for her second goal of the contest, resulting in the 4-2 final.
