Women's Soccer Falls to Lancers

WORCESTER, MA: Fitchburg State women's soccer fell to the Lancers of Worcester State this afternoon in conference action.

THE BASICS:

- Records: Worcester (4-5-1, 1-2 MASCAC), Fitchburg (1-7-3, 1-1-1 MASCAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Lancers were able to score the only goal in this very evenly-matched contest. Ella Tatarczuk found the back of the net in the 11^th minute after receiving a cross from teammate Maddie Breuer.

- The Falcons did put 11 shots up against the Worcester State defense, with seven going on goal. Ella Gumienny, the Lancers keeper, made all seven saves to complete the shutout, making her record in net 4-5-1 this season.

- Madison Dawkins (Haverhill, MA) had just the one blemish this afternoon after making six saves on the seven shots faced. This loss will put Dawkins at 1-7-1 on the season.
