Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth At 2024 Founding Tree 6K
King finishes 23rd overall with time of 28:56.30 for Green and Gold
Amherst, MA. – The Fitchburg State University women's cross country team placed fifth overall out of 13 teams with a total of 134 points at the 2024 Founding Tree 6K hosted by Hampshire College this morning.

How It Happened
Freshman Amanda King (Townsend, MA) led the way for the Green and Gold, finishing 23rd overall with a time of 28:56.80 over the 6K layout, while sophomore Alexis Toste (Dracut, MA) followed in 28th place with a time of 30:02.80.
Junior Trishannah Scott (Leominster, MA) was into the chute for the Falcons, crossing the line in 38th place with a time of 31:55.50, while classmate Julia Arena (Shrewsbury, MA) finished in 39th place with a time of 32:19.30.
Sophomore Taylor Crout (Boise, ID) rounded out the top finishers for Fitchburg State on the day with a 47th place time of 35:00.20.
Inside the Numbers
- Yasmin Defne Dadikhi of Emerson won the 2024 Founding Tree 6K with a time 24:09.00
- Fitchburg State did not compete in the 2023 Hampshire College 6K/8K
- Emerson won the 2024 Founding Tree 6K with a total of 28 points.
