Eramo Named To D3 Baseball.Com Team Of The Week

Shirley, Mass. native picks up second D3 Baseball.Com Team of the Week nod

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State senior Vincent Eramo (Shirley, Mass.) was selected to D3 Baseball.Com Team of the Week as announced by D3 Baseball.com on Wednesday.

The fifth-year Falcon hit .529 (9-of-17) with three doubles, four home runs, five runs scored, 12 RBI and a stolen base over four games for the Falcons. Eramo went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs socred and three RBI in a 15-7 setback to Amherst College on Wednesday before going 2-of-6 with a home run, double, one run scored and four RBI in an 11-10 triumph against Framingham State on Friday.

Vinny concluded the week, going a combined 5-for-7 with two home runs, two doubles, two runs scored a stolen base and five RBI in a double header with Framingham State on Saturday. In the process, Eramo rewrote the Fitchburg State record books this week, setting the Falcons' single season RBI record with 52, while also setting the Falcons' career total bases total with 270 as well as tying the program record for home runs at 21.

The Fitchburg State Baseball Team (18-19, 9-12 MASCAC) returns to action tomorrow as they take on the third seeded Owls of Westfield State in opening round action of the 2023 MASCAC Baseball Post-Season Tournament at Bridgewater State, starting at 11:00AM.
