Semedo Scores 26 in Men's Basketball Win Over Rams

FRAMINGHAM, MA: Fitchburg State men's basketball took down the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action this evening by a score of 67-54.

FRAMINGHAM, MA: Fitchburg State men's basketball took down the Rams of Framingham State in MASCAC action this evening by a score of 67-54.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Falcons only saw two ties throughout the contest and never saw a lead change. Nathaniel Semedo (Bridgewater, MA) played a key role in that. He would carry Fitchburg through the first half by scoring 22 of the team's 36 points. The second half saw the Rams struggle to score continue as the Falcons again outscored them 31-25, adding to the lead. Matthew Drayton (Boston, MA) topped the Falcons in the second with ten points.

- Semedo finished with a game-high 26 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Drayton added 14 points, three rebounds, and three steals. Jalen Jackson (San Antonio, TX) also contributed a team-high in rebounds with seven and three steals.

- The Rams were paced by Kyle Philistin, who had a team-high 16 points to go along with his five rebounds and three assists. The only other player to score double-digit points for Framingham was Joshua Saint Jean, with ten points. He did finish with a team-high in rebounds with seven.
