Men's Basketball Falls Short in MASCAC Clash Against Worcester

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men's basketball team suffered a tough MASCAC loss to the Worcester State Lancers, with a final score of 77-69.

FITCHBURG, MA: The Fitchburg State men's basketball team suffered a tough MASCAC loss to the Worcester State Lancers, with a final score of 77-69.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The game was a nail-biter, with Worcester State holding the lead for the majority of the contest. At halftime, the Falcons were slightly behind by three points, trailing 35-38. Nathaniel Semedo (Bridgewater, MA) led the Falcons with a strong double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Matthew Drayton (Boston, MA) put in a solid effort, contributing eight points, six assists, and two steals. Jalen Jackson (San Antonia, TX) had 12 points and notable defensive plays. The Falcons could not maintain their momentum in the second half. Nicolas Von Zboray (Pollock Pines, CA) also had a good showing, successfully hitting 4 out of 7 attempts from the three-point line for 12 points.

- The Lancers were powered by Brandon Goris, who matched Semedo's 22 points and added four steals and four assists. Camdyn Shoesmith's outstanding performance of 16 points and 21 rebounds combined with multiple blocks was crucial for the Lancers.
