How It Happened

Framingham State opened the scoring with 6:57 remaining in the first quarter as junior Devaun Ford (Mashpee, Mass.) plunged in from one yard out for the 7-0 edge. The Rams doubled their lead (14-0) three minutes later with junior quarterback Noah Leonard (Taunton, Mass.) rushing in for the three-yard score, capping a three play, 57-yard drive.

The hosts pushed the lead to 33-0 with 4:14 left in the half when Ford found the endzone from two yards out.

Following the intermission, Framingham State capped the scoring midway through the third quarter as Ford polished off a nine play, 62-yard drive with a fiv- yard touchdown run, resulting in the 47-0 final.

Inside the Numbers

This afternoon's contest marks the 37th matchup between the Falcons and the Rams on the Gridiron with Fitchburg State 11-26 all-time when taking on Framingham State.

Fitchburg State was led by freshman linebacker Camren Topkin (Ledyard, Conn.), who notched seven tackles on five solo stops and two assisted tackles, while sophomore Xiry Thibeaux (Houston, Tex.) added five solo stops, a fumble forced and one pass break up.

For Framingham State, Ford finished with 141 yards on 15 carries and three scores, while sophomore Dylan DeWolfe (Marion, Mass.) collected seven total tackles on four solo stops and three assisted tackles as well as three TFL's.
