Orme Lynch Tabbed MASCAC Player of the Week
Courbevoie, France native earns first weekly honor of the season
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State ice hockey sophomore Matteo Orme Lynch (Courbevoie, France) was recently named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Ice Hockey Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
The first year Falcon collects his first weekly accolade on the year after totaling four points on three goals and one assist in a 2-0-1 week for the Green and Gold. Matteo netted his first collegiate hat trick in an 8-2 victory over the Raiders of Rivier University on Thursday before adding one helper in a 2-2, (2-1) shootout win against the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State Ice Hockey team (9-7-1, 5-4-1 MASCAC) returns to action on Thursday as they host the Lancers of Worcester State for a conference tilt, starting at 6:30 PM.
