- Score: Westfield 7, Fitchburg 1
- Records: Westfield (8-7, 4-4 MASCAC), Fitchburg (7-7, 4-4 MASCAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Owls started their 7-0 run in the 3rd minute of the contest. Emile Pichette broke Westfield onto the scoreboard 3:19 into the period. Emile Tremblay (10:42), Colin Roe (11:22), and William Chausse (18:13) would all score in the first, giving the Owls a 4-0 lead.
- The second would only see one goal scored, which came from Daniel Finegan at 5:18 into the period, putting the game to a 5-0 deficit for the Falcons.
- The third period saw back-to-back shorthanded goals from the Owls while defending in the same power-play. The first came at 8:51 on a Falcons turnover at the blue line, which led to a breakaway for Westfield's 6th goal. The next came at 9:20 into the period on a 2v1 opportunity for the Owls; Cooper Board would find Louis Ouellet wide open on the other side of the ice for a well-timed wrist shot. The shutout wouldn't last the remainder of the game as Nicholas Weber (Peoria, AZ) took advantage of some confusion in front of the net. Alexandre Bauvais (Meudon, France) and Toivo Kramer (New York, NY) made it possible for Weber to score the goal with a couple of good passes.
