Men's Indoor Track Shines At 2025 Harvard Crimson Open
Bourassa qualifies for All New England's in the weight throw
Cambridge, Mass. – The Fitchburg State University men's indoor track & field team returned to action today as they competed at the 2025 Harvard Crimson Open at the Gordon Indoor Track.

Junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) paced the Green and Gold, placing second in the shot put with DIII New England qualifying toss of 14.05 meters and third in weight throw with All-NE qualifying throw of 17.03 meters, while Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) seventh in the shot put with a MASCAC qualifying throw of 12.68 meters and fourth in the weight throw with a DIII NE qualifying toss of 16.34 meters
Freshman Christopher Adamchek (Carlisle, MA) was also solid for the Falcons, placing eighth overall in the triple jump with a MASCAC qualifying mark of 12.40 meters and ninth in the long jump with a post-season qualifying mark of 6.51 meters.
In the 60 meter hurdles freshman Patrick Shaughnessy (Plymouth, MA) (9.36) (MASCAC qualifier), classmate William McGurl (Billerica, MA) (9.87) (MASCAC qualifier) and newcomer Joseph Imbracsio (North Billerica, MA) (10.27) (MASCAC qualifier) placed 13th, 16th and 17th, while, in the 60 meter, freshman Jaiden Madden (Lynn, MA) (44th) (MASCAC qualifier), sophomore Keenan Ansah (Plymouth, MA) (46th) (MASCAC qualifier), sophomore Derrick Tawiah (Worcester, MA) (52nd), sophomore Alvaro Castillo-Clottier Jr (54th), freshman Logan Cashman (Carmel, NY) (73rd) and sophomore Matthew Feole (Derry, NH) (74th) notched times of 7.42, 7.43, 7.50, 7.53, 8.32 and 8,35 seconds respectively.
In the 3000 meter, freshman Samuel Edwards (Townsend, MA) (9:17.21) (MASCAC qualifier) and sophomore Joshua Lancaster (Holden, MA) (10:32.96) finished 15th and 32nd, while in the 400 meter, sophomore Brady Madigan (Ayer, MA) (34th) (MASCAC qualifier), classmate Matth Telson (Everett, MA) (35th) and sophomore Jesse Moriello (Saugus, MA) (37th) posted times of 55.78, 55.99 and 56.49 seconds.
In the 800 meter, senior Taban Manyok (Lynn MA) (2:01.19) (MASCAC qualifier, freshman Brendan Guenard (Andover, MA) (2:0.68) (MASCAC qualifier), sophomore Omar Elmi (Worcester, MA) (2:11.2) (MASCAC qualifier), senior Aidan Cattlean (West Hartford, CT) (2:17.14), sophomore Matthew Gill (Plymouth, MA) (2:19.09) and senior Joshua Leaffer (North Andover, MA) (2:23,28) placed ninth, 20th, 21st, 25th, 28th and 31st respectively.
In the 200 meter, Clottier (25th) (MASCAC qualifier), Madden (40th), Tawiah (45th), freshman Patrick Shaughnessy (Plymouth, MA) (60th). Cashman (69th) and sophomore Marckenson Charles (Worcester, MA) (71st) posted times of 23.30, 24.20, 24.47, 26.81, 27.18 and 28.55 seconds, while in the mile Manyok (4:31.13), Edwards (4:41.63) and graduate student Cameron Davis (Gardner, MA) (4:53.48) qualified for the post-season after finishing 11th, 17th and 22nd.
In the field, sophomore John Koutsouoa (Birdsboro, PA) finished 11th overall in the shotput with a MASCAC qualifying throw of 11.65 meters, while sophomore Keenan Ansah (Plymouth, MA) with a 19th, MASCAC qualifying mark of 6.15 meters in the long jump.
