Men’s Indoor Track Collects Pair Of Weekly Accolades

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Christopher Adamchek (Carlisle, MA) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Indoor Track Rookie of the Week, while junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) earned MASCAC Men’s Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Adamchek tabbed Rookie of the Week; Bourassa named Field Athlete of the Week 

Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Christopher Adamchek (Carlisle, MA) was recently selected Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week, while junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) earned MASCAC Men's Indoor Track Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Adamchek collects his first weekly accolade of the season after placing first overall in the long jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 6.71 meters, while adding a 15th place effort in the triple jump with a mark of 11.25 meters for the Green and Gold at the 2025 Wesleyan Indoor Invitational on Saturday.

Bourassa notches his first weekly honor of the year as well after taking top honors in weight throw with an All-New England qualifying toss of 16.32 meters, while adding a fifth place, DIII NE qualifying throw of 13.48 meters in the shot put for the Falcons at the 2025 Wesleyan Indoor Invite on Saturday.

The Fitchburg State Men's Indoor Track & Field team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2025 Yankee Small College Conference Invite, hosted by Hampshire College.
