Lynn, Mass. native notches sixth weekly honor of the year

FITCHBURG, Mass. – Fitchburg State junior Taban Manyok (Lynn, Mass.) was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

The third-year Falcons notches his sixth weekly accolade of the season after placing 15th overall in the 5000 meter with a time of 15:32.09, while adding a personal best time of 8:42.60 in the 3000 meter after finishing 16th overall in the event. Manyok also led the 4x800 meter relay team to a 15th place finish with a season best time of 8:21.32 as Taban ran the anchor at 1:59/07 for the Green and Gold at the 2023 DIII New England Championships.

The Fitchburg State indoor track team returns to action this weekend as select members await a possible bid into the 2023 NCAA DIII National Championships.
