Kwamo Named MASCAC Rookie Athlete Of The Week
Auburn, Mass. native collects second weekly accolade of the year
Fitchburg, Mass. – Fitchburg State freshman Tyler Kwamo (Auburn, Mass.) was recently tabbed Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Indoor Track Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
The first-year Falcon notches his second weekly honor of the season after taking top honors in the triple jump with a DIII New England qualifying mark of 13.29 meters, while adding a tenth place finish in the high jump with a mark of 1.80 meters for the Green and Gold at the 2024 Branwen Smith-King Invitational, hosted by Tufts University on Saturday.
The Fitchburg State Men's Indoor Track & Field team returns to action on Saturday as they compete at the 2024 Wesleyan Indoor Invitation, starting at 10:00AM.
