Falcons Shine At All-New England Championships And Tufts

Monette collects personal best in the weight throw

Medford, MA – The Fitchburg State University men's indoor track & field team competed at both the 2024 All-New England Championships and the 2024 Tufts National Qualifying Meet this weekend.

How It Happened

Junior Cameron Monette (Winchendon, MA) led the way for the Falcons at the 2024 All-New Championships, placing fifth overall with a personal best toss of 16.82 meters, while sophomore Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) led the way for the Green and Gold at the 2024 Tufts Qualifying Meet, finishing sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.78 meters and 11th in the shot put with a throw of 13.58 meters.

Senior Eric Shimiyimana (Worcester, MA) registered a fourth place effort of 13.29 meters in the triple jump to round out the top Falcon efforts on the day
