Student Athlete Spotlight - Liam Bourassa
Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) recently set a facility and meet record throw of 68.99 meters in the javelin after taking top honors in the javelin at the 2025 DIII New England Championships this past weekend.
Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track and Field junior Liam Bourassa (Shirley, MA) recently set a facility and meet record throw of 68.99 meters in the javelin after taking top honors in the javelin at the 2025 DIII New England Championships this past weekend.
With that throw, Liam currently ranks first nationally in javelin and enters the 2025 All-New England Championships with the 15th best javelin throw in DIII history as well as ranking first regionally in the javelin and hammer throw. In addition, Bourassa ranks in the top five regionally in the shotput.
The Fitchburg State Men's Outdoor Track & Field team returns to action next weekend as select members compete at the 2025 All-New England Championships, hosted by UMass Amherst.
